Huff Biography


Laurence (Larry) Huff is the Chief Sales Officer for XcelPros, LLC and has over 25 years of experience in senior-level roles where has had used his expert financial knowledge, project management skills and technology experience to control costs, manage change and reduce uncertainty, leading to revenue growth and increased shareholder value. He is recognized as a growth leader, creating and executing strategic plans, managing integration, performing project/change management and establishing benchmarks for success. He has fostered winning cultures, increased productivity and reduced expenses in highly competitive and mission-driven environments.

Larry has held several senior executive positions in public and private companies where he has reported directly to and advised the top-ranking company executive. He has improved financial and operational performance of several dynamic and diverse business organizations including multi-billion dollar enterprises and entrepreneurial ventures in public / private sectors and domestic / international markets. Larry has held corporate positions as Chief Sales Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Assistant Corporate Controller, Chairman of Integration, VP, Business Processes and General Manager. Larry is a process and systems biased performance improvement and change management expert who is driven by a strong sense of urgency. Larry enjoys and thrives on massive change under fire and provides solutions that leave organizations and stakeholders firmly grounded for long-term sustainable growth.

Larry’s professional career began with Rockwell International where he held several positions from 1983 to 1987 including Sr. Cost Accountant for its Western Wheel division, and Project Manager and Financial Systems Administrator for its Space Transportation Systems Division. During his tenure at Rockwell, Larry was awarded a Quality Assurance award for his work in developing an IT solution for managing the payload integration for the first Department of Defense classified Space Shuttle flight. He was also part of a team that developed one of the world’s first real-time teleconferencing solutions for NASA. While Larry has an educational background in accounting and finance, he took a path that is rare among finance professionals in that he blended IT business analysis and project management skills with a strong accounting and finance foundation.

Larry spent 12 years as Assistant Corporate Controller with Stater Bros. Holdings, Inc.; a two billion dollar privately held enterprise that then operated 155 supermarkets branded Stater Bros Markets, a leading supermarket chain in Southern California with more than 12,600 team members. Larry utilized his IT background and improved the comprehensiveness and preciseness of decision support by developing gross margin reporting tools that incorporated POS scan data, restructuring the accounts receivable system, redesigning the budget reporting / analysis process and implementing an in-house payroll processing and reporting application. In addition, Larry was responsible for the preparation of the company’s corporate tax returns. He was also heavily involved in various M&A and refinancing projects.

Larry’s career took a ten-fold leap in responsibility when in 1999, when he became the Chief Financial Officer for Pacer Technology (currently Super Glue Corporation) which was a publicly traded corporation. During his tenure at Pacer he turned uncertainty and chaos into order and harmony and steered the company’s financial direction during periods of dynamic change – hostile takeover attempt; divestiture of non-core product lines, multiple corporate acquisitions, organizational restructure and a renewed drive for organic growth, debt retirement and privatization.

In 2003, Larry became the Chief Financial Officer for Complete Coach Works which is one of several members of a group of privately held companies in the transit industry that specialize in the remanufacture of transit busses, manufacture of transit bus windows and lease/sale of transit busses. Larry brought professionalism and focus into the finance function by more accurately applying GAAP and improving banking and insurance relationships. During 2005, Larry managed the profitable divestiture of Transit Care, Inc., without the help of a business broker.

From 2006 to 2012, Larry held the titles of Chief Financial Officer, Chairman of Integration and VP, Business Processes for D&W Fine Pack (“D&W”) and C&M Fine Pack, Inc. (“C&M”). D&W is a $500 million, privately-held multi-site food packaging manufacturer owned by Mid-Oaks Investments (Buffalo Grove, IL) and is the seventh largest domestic food packaging thermoforming company. Larry was an equity partner responsible for review of acquisition targets, leading post-merger/acquisition integration efforts and for continuous improvement of cross-functional business processes including programs and pricing and CRM applications. While at D&W, Larry was principal adviser to the CEO, fellow equity partners and Board of Directors. He implemented numerous technical solutions including a Programs & Pricing application and Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Prior to the acquisition of C&M, a $120 million, privately-held multi-site U.S. subsidiary of publicly held Japanese Chuo Kagaku and Mitsubishi Corp. manufacturer of food packaging products, Larry served as Chief Financial Officer where he was the top-ranking finance executive, key member of leadership team, and principal adviser to CEO/President and Board of Directors. Larry managed all administrative functions including: Finance, Treasury, Audit, Tax, Information Technology & Human Resources and served as Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary.

From 2012 to 2017, Larry was employed by Chemence Inc, a chemical manufacturer of adhesives where he served as General Manager and was responsible for managing manufacturing operations, supply chain, maintenance/engineering, quality/compliance and all administration functions for this ISO certified privately-held adhesive manufacturing company. Larry also served as Chief Financial Officer for Chemence, Inc. and Chemence Medical, Inc.
While at Chemence, Larry implemented Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft AX for three separate legal entities including two chemical manufacturing companies and a disposable medical device company.

Larry also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of La Verne for 14 years where he taught undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting and finance and as President and Board member of the Inland Empire Chapter of Financial Executives International where he was a founding member of the chapter.

Throughout his varied career, Larry has worked in multiple industries and has managed hundreds of team members. He considers his experiences as a leader and manager and the impact he has had on the lives and careers of others to be among his greatest achievements.

Today, Larry resides with his wife Therese in the North Georgia Mountains in the city of Dawsonville.
